8 Weed and Disease Mapping

During one of the last visits to the field, draw a disease and weed map. Use an ASCS map (if available) to mark infested areas. If a map is not available, draw an outline of the field and circle the trouble spots that have been identified. Be sure to indicate what weed or disease was found in that area and the infestation level. Do not try to identify each specific spot observed; instead, mark the general area of the field in which the disease was found. This map will help in planning weed management programs for subsequent crops.
