To register for a school, check ONE training (license) under desired location and mail with the registration fee of $30.00 to the address on the form. If you need to order manuals, please see the order form; you may include that cost with the registration fee. We are unable to accept purchase orders, online, phone or credit card payments, please make check or money order payable to N.C. State University. Only the classes listed will be given on that date. Also, some listed classes may not be taught if less than 5 registrants enroll. If the class you choose will not be taught, or if it is full at the time we receive your registration, we will contact you.
Schools start at 8:30 a.m. and are over by 4:00 p.m. All exams are given at each school on the second day at 1:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT (STRUCTURAL ONLY): You must be a Registered Technician BEFORE applying for the Structural Pest Control Certification. When you receive your manuals, mail the form in your Structural Manual to NCDA&CS at least 10 days prior to the test date. Questions regarding Structural Pest Control regulations should be directed to Victor Lennon at NCDA&CS (919/733-6100).
PRIVATE APPLICATORS (FARMERS): Private applicators wishing to attend the class will only benefit from the first day of class. You will need to return the second day at 1:00 p.m. for the test. The class registration fee for private applicators is $15.00. The manuals for private applicators are “Applying Pesticides Correctly” and chapters 4 & 5 of the Programmed Instruction Manual. Both manuals can be ordered from the order form, or chapters 4 & 5 can be printed from our web site (see above). Click on Private Applicator Workbook.

GREENSBORO, NC – January 6-7 - Guilford County Agricultural Center, 3309 Burlington Road (Tel. 336/375-5876). From the west, travel I-85N/I-40E, take U.S. 29 N to the East Market St. exit, and travel 1.6 miles to the Agricultural Center on your left. From the east, travel I-85/I-40, take exit 131 (I-85 Business) then immediately take Exit 44 (to Hwy.70). Go to the end, about 1.5 miles, and continue bearing right on ramp onto Hwy 70 W. (toward Greensboro). Go to the first stoplight (Exxon on the corner) and turn left. Go ½ mile to Agricultural Center on right. Motels are located on I-85/I-40.
GREENVILLE, NC – January 27-28 - Pitt County Agriculture Center, 403 Government Circle, (252-902-1709). Going North from Greenville on Hwy 11/13, turn right (East) on Belvoir Rd. at a traffic light just North of the Airport entrance. Go straight on Belvoir Rd. to the traffic light at the intersection of Greene St. Go straight across Greene St. to the stop sign at the intersection of Belvoir Rd. and Old Creek Rd. turn left and the Pitt County Agriculture Center is on the left within the Pitt County Office Park. Signs to the Agriculture Center are on display. Many hotel chains have locations in Greenville.
WILMINGTON, NC – February 3-4 - New Hanover County Extension Office - 6206 Oleander Drive. (Tel. 910/798-7660). 3 miles from Wrightsville Beach. Lodging at Resort Hotels on Wrightsville Beach or Days Inn (Tel. 910/799-6300) and Hampton Inn (Tel. 910/395-5045).
NEWTON – February 23-24 - Agricultural Resources Ctr., 1175 S. Brady Ave. (Tel. 828/465-8240). From Interstate 40 east of Hickory take the exit for Rock Barn Road. Take U.S. 70 to U.S. 321 S. Take U.S. 321 S. to Newton. Pass the intersection of U.S. 321 and Hwy. 10 and continue one mile. Turn left at “O” Street at the sign that says Agricultural Resources Center. Most motel chains are located on Interstate 40 in Hickory, none are in Newton.

I85 South to I77 South; exit 11 (Brookshire Freeway); take Brevard St/Davidson St/McDowell St. exit off Brookshire Freeway; This road becomes McDowell; turn left on 7th St ;continue on 7th past Independence Blvd; turn right on Armory Drive; building is on left. I85 North; exit Hwy 16 South; turns into Brookshire Freeway: take Brevard St/Davidson St/McDowell St. exit off Brookshire Freeway; This road becomes McDowell; turn left on 7th St ;continue on 7th past Independence Blvd; turn right on Armory Dr.; building is on left. Hwy 74 West; Exit Independence Boulevard; turn left on 7th St at 1st stoplight; turn right on Armory Dr.; building is on left.
WINSTON-SALEM, NC – March 16-17 - Forsyth County Agric. Bldg, 1450 Fairchild Dr. (Tel. 336/703-2850). Travel Interstate 40 to US 52 N. Travel US 52 N. to the North Liberty Airport exit. Turn right at the first stoplight onto Fairchild Dr. The Forsyth Agricultural Building is a mile on the right. If coming south on US 52, take the Akron Dr. exit. Turn left and travel east to Liberty St. Turn right on Liberty St. and travel to Fairchild Dr. Turn left on Fairchild Dr., the Forsyth County Agricultural Building will be on the right. Comfort Inn-North Airport at intersection of Akron Dr. and US 52 (Tel. 336/767-8240).
FAYETTEVILLE, NC – March 25-26 – 301 E. Mountain Drive (Tel. 910/321-6860). 401 South from Raleigh: Travel US 401 South to downtown Fayetteville, make a half circle around the Market House to Gillespie Street, and continue on Gillespie St. to US 301 S. Pass the Cumberland County Civic Center and turn left (East Mountain Dr.) at the next stoplight. The Cumberland County Extension Center is located on the left. I-40 from Raleigh: Travel I-40 E. to I-95 and continue on I-95 S. to Exit 46B (NC 87 N.). From NC 87, exit right onto Exit 100. Turn left onto East Mountain Dr. The Cumberland County Extension Center is located on the right.
KINSTON, NC - April 20-21 - Lenoir Community College - (Tel. 252/527-2191). Located on NC Hwy 58 E., just off US Hwy 70 E. in Kinston. The Hampton Inn, 1382 Hwy. 258 S. (252-523-1400) is nearby.
PLYMOUTH, NC – April 13-14 - The Vernon James Center (Tel. 252/793-2163). Located on Research Station Rd. which is off of US. 64 between Plymouth and Roper. Several motels located in Plymouth are short drive from the James Ctr.
FLETCHER , NC – May 5-6 - Mountain Horticultural Crops Res. & Ext. Center, 455 Research Dr. (828/684-3562). From Interstate 26, take exit #40 (old exit #9) (Asheville Regional Airport Exit). At the end of the exit ramp turn toward the airport onto NC Hwy 280. Go past the airport. The road will bear right. Turn right on the first road after the airport: Old Fanning Bridge Rd. Cross the French Broad River and the MHCR&EC office building is at the top of the hill on the right. Econo Lodge (828-684-1200) and Hampton Inn (828-687-0806) are close.

RALEIGH, NC – June 1-2 - Wake County Commons Building. (Tel. 919/250-1100). From the I-440 Beltline, take the Poole Rd. Exit #15, turn east onto Poole Rd., away from downtown Raleigh. Turn left onto Carya Dr., (see the Wake County Office Park sign), follow Carya Dr. down to the lower parking lot. Hotels in the area are Best Western (919) 256-2800, Red Roof Inn (919) 231-0200 and the Microtel Inn (919) 231-0002. All are located on New Bern Avenue.
STATESVILLE, NC – July 13-14 - 444 Bristol Drive (Tel. 704/873-0507). From I-40 take exit 148 and travel east on US 64 & 90 to second traffic signal light. Right on Bristol Dr. Go .3 miles to building on right. From I-77 - take Exit 49-A travel west on Garner Bagnal Blvd. 4.3 miles to traffic signal light and left on Bristol Dr. Go .3 miles to building on right. From Downtown Statesville - take Front St. West to intersection with Garner Bagnal Blvd., continue across Garner Bagnal Blvd. onto Bristol Drive approximately .3 mile to building on right.
