Sweetpotato Pest Alerts on Toll Free Telephone System

A toll free, automatic telephone system containing sweetpotato pest alerts is available in North Carolina. To report observations and trapping information on sweetpotato pests, dial 888/296-2230 on Monday through Wednesday. To receive information on sweetpotato crop status, insect trapping and monitoring, and guidelines for insect management, dial 888/296-2231 Friday through the following Thursday. This is a cooperative program of the Department of Entomology at North Carolina State University and North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, with support from the North Carolina Sweetpotato Commission and Gowan Chemical Company.
